The SALLINS COMMUNITY FESTIVAL 2008 is upon us. It will happen on
the weekend of August 9/10th.

The Festival Queen Competition is sponsored by the Bridgewater Inn (www.Bridgewater.ie). Denise Healy was appointed Queen of the Waterways after winning the competition last year. She has gone on to win the Regional heat of the Rose of Tralee and she will appear in the final Rose competiton in the Dome in August. Best of Luch Denise.
The Festival Art Competition for children is sponsored by Tom and Mary Cross. Entry forms are now available. A Print friendly page is available here and a Word version can be downloaded here.
The
Sallins Community Council meets on the first Monday of each month, in the
Parish Centre, beside the Church. Recent meetings discussed the upcoming review
of the Sallins Local Area Plan, by the Kildare County Council, and the recent
Public Consultation around the options, put forward by KCC, for the planned
Sallins Relief road. There is a page on this subject on the KCC website here
